“The Fall Classic"

If you felt the excitement of the Toronto Blue Jays’ World Series run this year, you know exactly what inspired this piece! I simply couldn't resist capturing the incredible energy, and that's how "The Fall Classic" was born. It’s my way of celebrating a moment of national pride, blended with my own love for Canadian nature.

The Idea Behind the Painting: I’m not a traditional sports superfan, but the community and passion around the 2025 playoffs were contagious. This still life composition allowed me to tell a story: a vivid Blue Jay bird sits surrounded by the classic symbols of the game, the team cap, bat, glove, and ball. All of these elements are nestled in a forest setting, full of the rich gold and crimson colours of a Canadian autumn landscape.

My goal was to create a piece of Canadian cultural art that shows how these two national loves (baseball and the stunning fall season) connect. It’s a unique, memorable commemorative piece. I truly believe this work offers sports art collectors a fresh, down-to-earth perspective on the passion of the game.
